These children are no longer prone to abuse, child marriage, rape, and trafficking. Consequently, their communities gets better and safer.
- Teachers Summit: At Dbegotin Educational Foundation, we believe that teachers are co-creator, they assist both in molding destinies as well as transferring vital developmental information across generations. Our annual Teachers Summit event is designed to training, inspire and motivate public school teachers. At these events, teachers are taught world best teaching practices, outstanding teachers are given a platform to share transforming ideas and are awarded afterwards.Over 500 teachers have benefitted through this programme since inception.
- Spelling Bee Event: Children are curious beings. Children loves challenges, they become more excited when engaged in activities they love. Our Local Education Authority (L.E.A) Inter-School Spelling Bee Events became the first if its kind in Nigeria with its maiden edition in 2017. This event provides meaningful, fun, inspiring and motivating atmosphere where public-school pupils are brought together to undergo a “war of words” and become a placeholder of a political office for one day. Winners are also awarded educational scholarships.
- iEducate Nigeria: Dbegotin Educational Foundation doesn’t only push for access to safe and equal but for quality education for every child. iEducate Nigeria is a programme that is geared towards equipping secondary school students in transitory classes with meaningful problem-solving skills that uplift them economically, giving them financial advantages to scale through their higher education thereby reducing dropout at secondary school level.
- iAdvocate for Education: This is a public campaign for education advancement in Nigeria. Through this campaign, we hold state actors responsible for education development accountable while engaging with meaningful individuals to speak up, lend their voices for the betterment of education in Nigeria. Annually, this campaign aims to sign up 1Million campaigners/voices, (1 million voices for education).
- Education as it is: “Education as it is” is an annual media campaign for education by a team of documentary photographers across the 36 states of Nigeria that tells about the state of education through their lenses. The result of this campaign is used by Dbegotin as an advocacy tool to hold state actors accountable and lobby stakeholders to continually develop education.
- What about Education: Because the main cause of the decay in education has been low political will, “What about education” was rolled out to engage directly with political candidates on their mandate for education. Candidates are brought to give their blueprint for education before they get elected and are held accountable with their public commitment when they get into office.
